ABC's "World News with Charles Gibson" in Boston Recap/Promo for The Bean Media
On Monday, June 08, 2009, ABC's "World News with Charles Gibson" was in Boston. Gibson filed a report on the economic success of Fenway Park amid the current economic crisis, and then anchored the "World News" newscast atop a parking garage located next to The Hard Rock Cafe. The Bean Media was on site and captured exclusive behind the scenes footage of the newscast. This video is a recap, and serves as a promo for The Bean Media Blog.

Voters Make Their Voices Heard in Historic U.S. Senate Election
On Tuesday, January 19, 2010, the eyes of the nation were on Massachusetts and its special election, as Bay State voters elected State Senator Scott Brown of Wrentham in a politically earthshattering upset win over State Attorney General Martha Coakley, to fill the U.S. Senate Seat held by Ted Kennedy for 47 years. The Bean Media caught up with voters outside of City Hall in Boston, to find out what issues mattered most to them in this historic election.

The Kennedy Family Arrives at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum in Boston
On Thursday, August 27, 2009, the body of U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts, was brought to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum to lie in repose. The public gathered to pay their final respects. In addition to the crowd outside, the public was also allowed to visit and sign condolence books inside the library. This video is of the family motorcade arriving at the library with the late Senator Kennedy's casket. This video is of the Kennedy Family entering the Library, following the late Senator's casket.

Interview with Nick Paleologos at Boston screening of "The Proposal"
Interview with Nick Paleologos - the Director the Massachusetts Film Office. The interview was conducted after an advanced screening of "The Proposal" at the Boston Common AMC Theatre for local cast and crew. "The Proposal" was filmed in MA, and stars Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, & Betty White.
Minorities in the Media Panel Discussion
On Tuesday, May 12, 2009, a panel discussion was held at UMass Boston that focused on the subject of "Minorities in the Media." Boston area media personalities discussed issues of diversity in broadcast journalism. They also touched upon many other topics, including the current state of journalism and TV News, and the role the Internet is playing in the New Media landscape, and how the economic downturn is affecting coverage. Former WEAR-TV Anchor Francesca Maxime moderated the discussion. Participants included WHDH Anchor Frances Rivera, NECN Anchor/Reporter Latoyia Edwards, and NECN Editor Randolph Charlotin. The event was put on by the Asian American Journalists Association New England Chapter.

The Swerve's Triumphant Return to South Boston
On Friday, August 21, 2009, the band "The Swerve" made their triumphant return to Murphy's Law (Bar & Grill) in South Boston. The Swerve played three sets that night. Footage of those perfomances appear on this blog. Enjoy!
