On Thursday, August 27, 2009, the body of U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts, was brought to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum to lie in repose. The public gathered to pay their final respects. In addition to the crowd outside, the public was also allowed to visit and sign condolence books inside the library.
